About the role:


Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), this role goes beyond traditional financial analysis. We’re seeking a data-driven professional who can combine financial acumen with advanced analytical, coding, and AI capabilities to help shape strategic decisions. You’ll play a critical role in building and leveraging big data models, improving forecasting accuracy, and creating insights that accelerate the growth of BlueWave’s distributed generation solar and storage projects. This position is ideal for someone who wants a dynamic role at the intersection of finance, analytics, and technology.


What you'll do:

  • Support financial budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, with a focus on integrating advanced data analytics into monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
  • Build and maintain scalable financial and big data models to forecast performance, assess risk, and guide decision-making at the business unit and executive level.
  • Apply coding and AI/ML techniques to enhance forecasting, automate reporting, and identify actionable business insights.
  • Develop and deliver interactive dashboards, reports, and presentations that make complex financial and operational data accessible to stakeholders.
  • Analyze trends, KPIs, and variances across large datasets, translating findings into clear recommendations.
  • Enhance financial systems, tools, and processes, leveraging automation and data science to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner cross-functionally across BlueWave to collect, structure, and analyze data that drives alignment of financial goals with strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to cash forecasting, monthly management reporting, and ad-hoc analytical projects supporting BlueWave’s growth and long-term asset ownership.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in either Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant financial analysis experience.
  • Strong coding ability in Python, R, or SQL with experience applying analytics to large datasets.
  • Proficiency with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for building advanced calculations, measures, and data models within Power BI is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML techniques and predictive modeling.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, NetSuite, Procore, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles, with the ability to connect data-driven insights to business outcomes.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, hands-on work ethic with the adaptability to succeed in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify and present complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and speed


The anticipated salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 per year + bonus.


Compensation will be influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, job-related knowledge, skills, education, certifications, and relevant experience as outlined in the job description above.
