You love chess and want to help bring it to players around the world! You’re curious, analytical, and eager to learn from a team exploring how AI and data can enhance the chess experience for millions of users. This internship is an opportunity to develop real-world skills in machine learning, automation, and data-driven problem solving—while collaborating with engineers, analysts, and product thinkers who care deeply about building meaningful technology.

What You'll Do

  • Automate business and IT operations through data-driven workflows and AI tools
  • Build metrics pipelines, reporting dashboards, and intelligent automation systems
  • Contribute to Chess.com’s internal MarTech and AI platforms
  • Prototype and experiment with internal AI-powered bots and assistants

Preferred Skills

  • Strong foundation in Python and SQL (or similar programming languages)
  • Familiarity with data analysismachine learning, or automation frameworks
  • Interest in AI/ML applications—bonus if you’ve worked on personal or academic AI projects
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity about applied AI, data pipelines, and model experimentation
