About You

You are a Product Designer designer with an emphasis on clear, clean, and fun interactions. You see design as a series of never-ending questions. Asking, “Do you like this? Does this accomplish your goals? Does this make your life better in some way?” You are a true UX practitioner. A process nut. You are creative, intuitive, and always learning.


Ideally, you have an interest in providing a healthy way for users to escape the stress of the day through games. You may be an avid gamer. You value ownership and responsibility. You are a team player. You leave your ego at the door.


What you'll do

  • Craft high-quality designs for our web and mobile platforms and own your designs from initial concept through to implementation
  • Contribute to and help evolve our design system in Figma, ensuring consistency across products and platforms
  • Create interactive prototypes to share and explain your designs and micro interactions using Figma, Protopie, or Origami
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Copywriters, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into effective UI designs
  • Present your design proposals and clearly articulate your decisions, backing them up with contextual rationale and user insights
  • Help your design teammates and provide constructive feedback in design reviews

Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of professional product design experience on consumer applications or mobile games
  • An online portfolio of strong mobile or web design work
  • Deep knowledge of Figma and experience working with established design systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow you to explain your design decisions
  • Sense of ownership and responsibility

Bonus points for

  • A love for the game of Chess and knowledge of our product
  • Experience designing for mobile games
  • Motion design and UI animation skills
  • Design engineering or frontend development experience
