About the Job

We are looking for a highly skilled user experience and user interface designer in Austin to help us envision our technology products alongside a dedicated product and engineering team who are passionate about delivering software we are proud of while having fun along the way. A successful candidate will evidence a passion for adaptive and creative solutions to UX/UI design problems, have a track record of creating sleek, highly functional, consumer-facing web apps, and want to have a meaningful impact at an early-stage technology company. 

Job Requirements

  • Develop information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity responsive visual designs that leverage emerging trends and intuitive design patterns 

  • Conduct user research and review data to inform design approach for solving user pain points

  • Ability to articulate the reasoning behind design decisions

  • Own design and experience for all end user touchpoints that balance function and form

  • Extend brand guidelines and develop a standard design system for all product applications

  • Provide design direction and perspective for marketing related needs to ensure consistency of brand through all visual touchpoints 

  • Dedicated, passionate, curious, hard-working, and excited to work in an energetic environment

  • Creative and efficient problem solver and flourishes when working on challenging issues 

  • Attention to detail and an understanding of what makes a great user experience

  • Ability to work well with the Product and Engineering team to iterate on designs and user experience flows

  • Self-directed with a strong bias towards action and thrives in an ambiguous environment that is ripe for disruption

Qualifications 

  • 4+ years of experience in UX/UI Design for B2B / B2C web applications that work well across mobile, tablet and desktop interfaces

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles

  • Proficiency in Figma (and other contemporary design tools) and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience with usability testing and common methods for obtaining customer feedback to validate/iterate design decisions

  • Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and attention to detail

  • Working within a tech startup environment is a strong plus
