HVAC Pipefitting Foreman

About the role

As an HVAC Pipefitting Journeyman you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining HVAC piping systems for commercial and industrial projects. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints, welding, brazing, and ensuring all work meets safety and industry standards. You’ll work closely with a team to complete high-quality installations while troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise. Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience
  • Requires a full understanding of all facets of new construction Mech Pipe fitting.
  • Must have strong commercial/industrial mechanical installation experience.
  • Includes communicating with customers, journeyman, and apprentices.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test..
  • Advanced skillset at reading and working from blueprints, technical manuals, charts, and schematics.
  • Must have knowledge in the practice of materials used in the installation of new construction and TI mechanical systems including, and equipment.
  • Advanced at performing cutting, soldering, brazing, and assembling of pipes, tubes, fittings, weld CS and spool drawings.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment and tools.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Observe and adhere to safety requirements and safe work practices and methods as required.
  • Work independently and under minimal supervision of Superintendent .
  • Thorough understanding of how to estimate time and materials needed for technical tasks.
  • Is proficient with documenting needed pipe materials, including drawings and take off estimates.
  • Must possess own tools necessary to perform required jobs/tasks.
  • Strong ability to perform basic underground layout technique.
  • Strong ability to perform basic aboveground layout technique.
  • Highly skilled at installation of mechanical systems – distribution, equipment
  • Must possess own tools necessary to perform required jobs/tasks.
  • Ability to assist with QAQC inspections.
  • Thorough or advanced knowledge of current I.B.C. and AZ plumbing code
