A Day in the Life:

  • Query and optimize complex logic within Amazon Redshift to extract insights from massive, high-volume datasets.
  • Utilize Amplitude to build behavioral cohorts and identify specific friction points within the conversion funnel.
  • Design and analyze split tests by calculating sample sizes, p-values, and statistical significance to drive data-led product decisions.
  • Translate complex analytical findings from Amplitude and Redshift into clear, actionable narratives for product and design stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on core product health metrics such as retention, churn, and LTV through automated dashboards.
  • Proactively identify patterns in user behavior to surface business opportunities and solve potential product challenges before they escalate.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data integrity and align on tracking requirements for new feature launches.

What it takes:

  • 2+ years of experience writing advanced SQL for large-scale data environments, specifically within Amazon Redshift or other PostgreSQL-based architectures.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Amplitude for tracking user journeys, event properties, and behavioral cohorts.
  • A strong foundation in applied statistics, including a deep understanding of variance, confidence intervals, and experimental design for A/B testing.
  • Experience transforming raw data into polished visualizations and dashboards using Amplitude or BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Metabase.
  • Sharp product sense with the ability to link user actions to business outcomes like DAU/MAU and conversion rates.
  • Exceptional communication skills, specifically the ability to explain technical methodologies to non-technical partners.
  • High degree of autonomy and the ability to manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or R for advanced statistical modeling and data manipulation.
  • General understanding of data pipelines and Segment to understand how event data is routed into the warehouse.

Regardless of your specific role, we seek individuals who are excited to explore, adopt, and evangelize AI tools and methodologies. If you have experience in AI or a proven track record of rapidly learning and mentoring others on emerging tech, you’ll fit right in.
