Why This Role Is Different

This is not a hospital shift.
This is not chaotic urgent care.

As a District Nurse within HealthBar’s School Nursing Program, you’ll provide comprehensive, thoughtful nursing care to a defined student population — with predictable hours, real autonomy, and the ability to build meaningful relationships in your school community.

You’ll follow the school-year calendar:

  • Summers off
  • No nights
  • No weekends
  • No holidays

This is a clinical role with balance built in.

  • Public Health education
  • Provider consultations

What You Won’t Be Dealing With

  • No hospital shift rotations
  • No 12-hour nights
  • No holiday coverage
  • No weekend requirements
  • No unpredictable overtime

You’ll work a steady, school-based schedule that allows you to fully unplug during breaks.

Compensation & Schedule

  • $50,000–$55,000 per school year (based on experience)
  • 35-hours week
  • Schedule follows the school calendar
