About nesto and Nesto Cloud

Nesto is a leading Canadian fintech company founded in Montreal in 2018. Our core mission is to offer a positive, empowering, and transparent property financing experience, simplified from start to finish. We initially started as a digital broker, aiming to make the complex mortgage process more transparent through technology. We quickly evolved to build Canada’s leading online mortgage lending direct-to-consumer platform, where our qualified mortgage experts are supported by advanced technology.

Since then, we have expanded our offering into a robust "mortgage ecosystem" builder, partnering with large financial institutions across Canada. Our first B2B product debuted in 2022 with IG Wealth Management, concurrent with raising a Series C funding round. A critical milestone occurred last year when nesto acquired CMLS Group. This acquisition formed the Nesto Group (under which nesto, CMLS, and its subsidiary brand Intellifi are housed), resulting in a massive increase in scale, with 1,100 employees across 12 offices nationwide and $73 billion CAD in residential and commercial mortgage assets under administration. You will be working on Nesto Cloud, Canada’s most advanced cloud platform, delivering end-to-end technology solutions for lenders in the digital age.

Why we are hiring

As we scale our B2B delivery team, we need an "ownership-minded" leader to sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and our Enterprise Clients. When we deploy our SaaS solution to a new partner, "good enough" isn't the standard—flawlessness is. We are looking for a SaaS Delivery Quality Manager to take full accountability for client and internal testing, ensuring every client interaction with our technology is seamless.

Work location, time zone, and availability

We welcome applications from candidates across Canada, with a strong preference for those located in the Eastern Time Zone (EST). While this is a remote-first opportunity with the flexibility to work from home or any of our offices (Montreal, Quebec City, Calgary, Toronto, or Vancouver), the core working hours follow a strict schedule aligned with our client’s 9–5 EST requirements. Occasional travel to Montreal and Toronto may occur as needed to support project milestones and scaling requirements.

What success in this role looks like

You will act as the gate between "Code Complete" and "Client Ready." This isn't about running scripts in a vacuum; you will successfully manage the critical path of Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for our enterprise partners.

What you’ll be doing and what you’ll own

  • Client Testing Orchestration: You will design and lead the UAT strategy for tier-1 bank implementations. You aren't just watching the testing; you are coaching the client through it.
  • Functional Gatekeeping: You own the "Go/No-Go" for functional releases. You ensure the specific SaaS configurations meet both nesto’s standards and the client’s unique business logic.
  • Defect Diplomacy: When bugs are found, you prioritize them. You’ll translate technical debt into business impact for Product teams and manage client expectations during high-pressure triage.
  • Standardization: You will build the "nesto Playbook" for testing. You’ll create repeatable test suites, automated checkpoints, and UAT templates that allow us to scale implementation from 5 clients to 50.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing testing dashboards and tracking quality metrics to identify trends and optimize internal processes.

What we are looking for and what you bring

  • Experience: 5+ years in QA Management, with at least 2 years focused on External/Client UAT for SaaS products.
  • Technical Depth: Mastery of Jira/Confluence. Comfort with automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Selenium) and API testing (Postman).
  • Communication: You can hold your own in a room with Lead Engineers and just as easily present your plan to an Enterprise Client VP.
  • Education: A degree in Tech, Business, or a related field—but your proven delivery record is what we value most.
  • An Expert-Owner: You don’t wait for a ticket. You see a gap in the testing flow and you build a bridge to close it.
  • A SaaS Specialist: You understand the nuances of multi-tenant environments and how client-specific configurations can impact core system logic.
  • A "Double-Check" Obsessive: You have a natural "double-check" mindset. Your documentation is organized, and your test plans are airtight.
  • Fintech Literate: You understand (or are eager to master) the complexities of the mortgage lifecycle—from origination to servicing.

Interview Process

  • Recruiter Screen – 30 minutes
  • Discovery Call with our Director, Business Consulting – 30 minutes
  • Take-home Assignment followed by a Presentation and Q&A – 60 minutes
  • Final Non-Technical Interview with two additional stakeholders – 60 minutes
  • Criminal Record and Reference Checks + Offer

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Top-tier Extended Health, Dental, and Vision coverage, featuring 100% drug coverage.
  • Health & Wellness Spending Account: A $1,500 combined annual flex fund for things like gym memberships or extra medical needs.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: 4 weeks of vacation plus 8 personal floater days.
  • Retirement Savings: Access to a Group RRSP/DPSP plan featuring competitive company-matching contributions.
  • Telemedicine Services via Dialogue and coverage for Licensed Practitioner Services.
  • Family Support: Parental Leave Top-Up Programs provided for Maternity & Parental Leave.
  • Flexible Work: The possibility to work fully remote or work from one of our offices in Montreal, Quebec, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, and more!

We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and we strongly encourage women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities to apply. We are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive and welcoming to all.
