About nesto

Canada's leading mortgage technology company. nesto manages $73B+ CAD in residential and commercial mortgages, with 1,000+ team members across 12 offices nationwide. We combine technology, data, and a people-first approach to reimagine how Canadians experience one of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead 0→1 product development on one of nesto's most strategic bets. In this role, you'll own the vision, roadmap, and execution for a new financial product — defining what we build and partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM to bring it to life.

The right person has strong instincts for complex financial workflows, thrives in ambiguity, and can translate the needs of buyers and users into product decisions that create durable value. This is a senior, highly cross-functional role — you'll work across product pillars and partner teams to build something that meaningfully expands what nesto can offer Canadians.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the Product Vision — Define and execute the end-to-end product strategy for a new product, from concept through launch and scale. Translate the opportunity into a clear roadmap and drive alignment across the organization.
  • Lead 0→1 Development — Navigate the full arc of new product development: deep customer and market discovery, scoping, prioritization, iterative building, and go-to-market readiness. Make crisp decisions in the face of uncertainty.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership — Work closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Risk, Compliance, and GTM to ensure every work stream is aligned. Be the connective tissue across teams.
  • Commercial Acumen — Partner with GTM and leadership to translate new capabilities into positioning, sales enablement, and customer-facing narratives. Understand how the product creates business value, not just user value.
  • Define Success — Establish the right metrics for product health, adoption, and impact. Use data to drive iteration and build the feedback loops that keep the team focused on what matters.
  • Stakeholder Influence — Communicate clearly and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels — from engineers deep in implementation to executives making strategic bets. Bring clarity through complexity.

Who We're Looking For

The Profile

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years at a Senior PM level at a high-growth technology company.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning and successfully launching complex new products, ideally in fintech, financial services, or data-intensive domains.
  • Experience building products that handle sensitive data with rigorous security, compliance, and access control requirements — you understand what it means to build responsibly in a regulated environment.
  • Strong technical acumen — ability to engage deeply with engineering on system design, data pipelines, and architecture without losing sight of the customer problem.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions and levels.
  • Proven ability to operate with clarity and conviction in ambiguous, fast-moving environments — you don't wait for perfect information to move.
  • Sharp product sense and a high bar for quality — you sweat the details while keeping the big picture in view.

Preferred but Not a Must

  • Mortgage or regulated financial services experience — curiosity, rigor, and execution matter more.
  • Familiarity with lending technology, origination platforms, or financial data infrastructure.
  • Exposure to platform or API-driven product development in an enterprise SaaS context.
  • Experience with go-to-market motions for complex financial products.
