Position Overview

We are extending our cutting-edge Active Directory activity auditing and ITDR product that is already transforming the way our customers identify, protect and govern their data. This will revolutionize how customers secure their data by placing identity at the core – providing unparalleled visibility and control. We are integrating agentic AI capabilities into our platform. Allowing AI assistants to query security data using natural language, enhancing the efficiency of security teams in assessing data exposure and access risks. With a rapidly growing customer base and an expanding team, we're looking for a passionate and experienced full stack Microsoft Windows software developer who can work with Windows Services handling high-performance real-time activity event collection and is also comfortable with low level code including Kernel level drivers and filter drivers. In addition, contribute to UI development related to new feature additions.


This position will be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of the current code base to support and extend the feature set. The current product runs entirely on premises and is being used by many fortune 500 companies worldwide. This position requires working with other teams to extend the product to work in a hybrid on prem / cloud environment. This effort will require a well-organized person with strong English communication skills that can significantly contribute to the architecture and implementation of the hybrid solution.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a thorough understating of the current code base with initial focus on
    • Active Directory instrumentation DLL running in the LSASS process
    • Windows Service based data collection agents running on domain controllers
    • Windows Service based central ‘server’ – command/control for agent
  • Make timely updates to our instrumentation DLL’s API hooking code in response to ‘breaking’ Microsoft changes (KB’s)
  • Drive the design and implementation of new product features working with R&D director and product management
  • Drive the design and implementation of changes to the on prem code to additionally support a hybrid option working with our cloud team
  • Support new versions of Windows Servers as they are released

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) 10 – 12+ years of software development experience with focus on enterprise software
  • Expert using IDA or similar tools to reverse engineer undocumented / un exported Windows API’s
  • Expert using WinDBG or other kernel mode debuggers to diagnose Windows User and Kernal mode dump files to find and then correct the root cause of issues
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experienced with Windows Server system internals for server 2012R2 through server 2025 including use and understanding of native Win32 API’s
  • Experience hooking 3rd party API’s. Such experience in the area of Windows internals especially related to Active Directory, LDAP and/or Kerberos is highly desirable.
  • Expert level coding skills using C++, C#, .NET targeting Windows Server platforms
  • Architect and implement high performance real time multi-threaded and secure client / server applications utilizing Windows services, interprocess communications and RPC (preferably using gRPC)
  • Familiarity with typical corporate network hardware and software infrastructure including LDAP, DNS, DHCP, TCP, UDP, Switches, Routers, etc.
  • Use and champion secure coding practices in a DevOps environment including source control, creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to develop code that interacts with SQL Databases including Microsoft SQL Server and SQLite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proficient English oral and written skills

Preferred Qualifications

Highly Desirable skills:

  • Experience developing Windows device and/or filter drivers
  • Knowledge about the inner workings of Active Directory
  • Knowledge about the inner workings of Windows security components
  • Familiarity with ITDR (Identity Threat Detection and Response) solutions

Nice to have:

  • Administration and/or Deployment of Active Directory at Enterprise scale
  • WinForms, DevExpress, Wix, Azure, Web development
