Overview

The Senior Manager, Digital Experience Operations serves as the operational engine behind Nexcess.com — a revenue-generating digital experience that drives customer acquisition, upgrades, and commercial growth. This role partners closely with the Director of Digital Experience to ensure the team operates efficiently, scales effectively, and delivers measurable business impact.

This individual will own the operational cadence of the Digital Experience team, including launch planning, intake management, CMS governance, sprint coordination, QA processes, and cross-functional execution. The role is responsible for improving velocity, reducing friction in the brief-to-launch process, and ensuring the organization’s highest-priority digital initiatives are delivered successfully.

The ideal candidate brings a strong operational mindset, commercial awareness, and the ability to connect cross-functional teams across CRO, UX, SEO, analytics, design, and engineering. This role is highly visible and plays a critical part in enabling the Director of Digital Experience to focus on strategic initiatives, executive stakeholder management, and long-term growth planning.


This role is fully remote in the US


The compensation for the role is between $110k-$160k


Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the Digital Experience team’s operational cadence, including quarterly roadmap planning, launch calendars, sprint planning, weekly conversion reviews, and monthly performance reporting
  • Manage the end-to-end web intake and prioritization process, including stakeholder alignment, resourcing decisions, and backlog governance
  • Drive improvements in brief-to-launch cycle time through process optimization, workflow management, and operational transparency
  • Establish and enforce CMS governance standards, QA processes, accessibility checks, and launch measurement validation requirements
  • Partner with CRO stakeholders to support testing velocity, backlog hygiene, hypothesis documentation, and learnings library maintenance
  • Lead the operational management of the Liquid Web brand migration program, including timelines, milestone tracking, risk management, and executive reporting
  • Manage and develop the Digital Experience Coordinator role, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and career progression
  • Facilitate collaboration across CRO, SEO, UX Research, Design, Analytics, and Engineering teams to remove blockers and maintain execution momentum
  • Support launch readiness through vendor coordination, front-end engineering alignment, and stakeholder communication
  • Monitor and report on operational KPIs, including sprint completion rates, launch performance, test throughput, and cycle-time efficiency
  • Partner with Analytics & Measurement stakeholders to improve instrumentation standards and launch measurement compliance
  • Identify operational gaps and proactively recommend scalable process improvements that support revenue growth
  • Represent the Digital Experience function in cross-functional meetings and stakeholder discussions as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience in digital operations, web operations, eCommerce, DTC, or digital experience management
  • Experience managing launch cadence, CMS governance, intake processes, and cross-functional web execution at scale
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) operating environments and experimentation workflows
  • Experience working with web analytics instrumentation, data layers, tagging, and measurement validation processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex digital programs such as brand migrations, replatforming initiatives, or domain consolidations
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Experience collaborating across design, development, analytics, marketing, and product teams
  • Ability to balance operational rigor with execution speed in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and decision-making capabilities
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within SaaS, subscription-based, hosting, or commerce-driven businesses
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks including hypothesis documentation, ICE scoring, and testing roadmaps
  • Experience supporting high-volume websites with significant revenue accountability
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, QA best practices, and digital governance processes
  • Experience working in remote-first or distributed organizations
