About the role

The Applications & Product Manager for DNE Laser USA, LLC is responsible for leading applications engineering, training execution, and product management activities for the DNE laser portfolio. This role serves as the primary U.S. interface with the factory and ensures alignment between product capability, customer applications, sales enablement, and market positioning. 

This is a hybrid leadership role combining people management, technical applications oversight, and product portfolio coordination. 

What you'll do

Applications Leadership 

  • Lead and manage the Applications team. 
  • Oversee demos, time studies, and sample part validation. 
  • Assist in cutting perimeter development for fiber lasers & press brakes. 
  • Coordinate showroom demonstrations and dealer events. 
  • Support special customer applications and machine programming. 
  • Manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT). 

Training & Enablement 

  • Develop structured training programs, curriculum, and validation tools. 
  • Manage training schedules for Applications Engineers and customers. 
  • Train internal sales, service, and marketing teams on DNE products. 

Product Management 

  • Serve as U.S. point person for assigned DNE products. 
  • Interface directly with factory/OEM on updates, releases, documentation. 
  • Manage product launches and internal rollout communication. 
  • Develop tools and materials to support sales and marketing. 
  • Create and manage critical spare parts lists for machines. 

Market & Commercial Alignment 

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis. 
  • Develop pricing templates and quoting tools. 
  • Ensure product integration across sales channels. 
  • Support strategic deals with technical leadership. 

Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years experience in industrial capital equipment (fiber laser cutting and/or press brakes preferred). 
  • Strong understanding of fiber lasers, tube lasers, press brakes, or fabrication automation. 
  • Experience interfacing with overseas manufacturing partners (Bilingual is a plus).Mandarin language proficiency preferred but not required. 
  • Ability to analyze financial performance and margin contribution. 
  • Strong commercial judgment and strategic thinking. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Business, or related field preferred.  
  • No specific licenses required. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus. 

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions. 
  • Must be able to lift and transport marketing materials or small equipment (up to 40 lbs). 
  • Comfortable with working from a home office and maintaining consistent communication with internal teams.
  • Willingness to attend industry trade shows, customer events, and dealer training sessions, as needed. 
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory; occasional overnight travel may be required (role specific).  
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate customer and dealer schedules across time zones (role specific).
  • Familiarity with sales pipeline tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and ability to maintain accurate records (role specific)
  • 25–40% travel (customer visits, trade shows, factory coordination) 
  • Ability to attend trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations as needed 
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate overseas factory communication 
  • Valid driver’s license required specific).

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of industrial capital equipment (fiber lasers, robotics, press brakes, automation systems preferred) 
  • Ability to analyze product profitability, pricing strategy, and margin performance 
  • Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners 
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and product specifications 
  • Strong competitive analysis and market research skills 
  • Experience using SolidWorks, 3D, machine tool nesting and CAD software 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (executive and customer-facing) 
  • Cross-functional leadership and influence without direct authority 
  • Strong commercial judgment and strategic thinking 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint required) 
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value 

Working Conditions

This role supports a collaborative, fast-paced work environment across remote, field, and technical settings. For positions that allow it, we operate as a remote-first company, encouraging flexibility and digital connection. Field sales and service roles involve regular travel, independent decision-making, and direct interaction with machinery or customers. Some positions may require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely navigate to industrial or outdoor sites.
