Job Title: Early Childhood Swim Instructor

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled swim instructor to teach children aged 6 months to 5 years old. This role includes leading caregiver and infant/toddler group classes (1:6 ratio) and preschool group lessons (1:4 ratio), following a set curriculum. You’ll also work closely with our Early Childhood Learning Center and provide private lessons tailored to young swimmers. To succeed, you must be available during weekday and Sunday mornings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead caregiver and infant/toddler group classes (1:6 ratio) and preschool group lessons (1:4 ratio), focusing on water safety, foundational skills, and fun.
  • Collaborate with the Early Childhood Learning Center to support student aquatic programs.
  • Provide private swim lessons for young swimmers, customizing sessions to individual needs and goals.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment to foster water confidence and enjoyment.
  • Communicate with parents to share progress and milestones for each child.
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained and follow emergency protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and Swim Instruction (Red Cross or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching swim lessons to early childhood age groups (6 months – 5 years).
  • Familiarity with group lessons and curriculum-based teaching methods.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members.
  • Passion for teaching and helping young children build water confidence and essential skills.

Availability Requirements:

  • Must be available on weekday and Sunday mornings.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience.
