About the role

SGC is seeking a Data Analyst to support a wide range of operational, analytical, and strategic functions that span disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. We’re looking for an early-to-mid-career professional with strong analytical capabilities, adaptability, and an unshakable commitment to mission-driven work.

This is a temporary role tied to general operational support, with a strong preference to transition high-performing candidates into full-time, long-term positions. The ideal candidate is technically sharp, brings strong analytical thinking to complex problems, and is comfortable operating in high-impact, dynamic environments.

This position is remote-first but may require travel for deployments based on operational needs. Deployments can extend for multiple months and involve working long hours in dynamic, fast-paced emergency environments. Candidates should be prepared for the possibility of intensive work periods—typically 12-hour days and extended weekly schedules—when supporting field operations.

  • Translate complex datasets into usable information for emergency managers, executives, and partners.

Growth & Development

  • Support continuous improvement of data tools, methodologies, and documentation.
  • Explore opportunities to grow into client-facing roles, special projects, or technical leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, technical, or business-related field (e.g., computer science, data engineering, information systems), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–5 years of professional experience in data analytics or a related role.
