What You’ll Do
We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to support our growing team and help shape a positive employee experience. This position combines recruiting ownership with generalist responsibilities across employee relations, HR operations, and special projects. The ideal candidate is ready to take initiative, improve processes, and grow within the HR function. This role will work closely with the HR Manager and department leads, to ensure consistency, compliance, and care across all stages of the employee lifecycle.
Employee Experience & Support
- Act as the first point of contact for employee HR questions and support requests
- Support and enhance the onboarding, and employee lifecycle experience
- Maintain documentation of employee feedback, check-ins, and issue resolution steps
- Collaborate with departments such as Warehouse, Product, and IT to implement cross-functional initiatives
- Support employee relations matters by helping address workplace concerns and partnering with managers on appropriate resolutions
- Lead key HR initiatives and project that enhance employee experience and process efficiency (i.e. warehouse scheduling improvements and employee engagement programming)
- Champion company culture by helping plan quarterly events, new hire welcomes, and internal communication efforts
HR Operations & Compliance
- Create and maintain standard documents (e.g., Personnel Action Forms, change letters, transfer forms)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws across employment practices
- Assist with the review and rollout of HR policies and employee handbook updates
- Support leaves of absence tracking and documentation (FMLA, ADA, etc.) as needed
- Coordinate employee offboarding processes including exit interviews, final documentation, and system updates
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Own full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, including sourcing, posting, screening, scheduling, and candidate communication
- Post roles across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) and maintain ATS data accuracy
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure a clear and smooth recruiting process
- Prepare for future scale by documenting recruiting workflows
- Document recruiting workflows and help improve hiring processes to support future organizational growth
- Assist with contractor onboarding or contingent workforce needs as required
Benefits & Compensation Support
- Assist with benefits administration including open enrollment, benefits troubleshooting, and employee questions
- Help coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely setup and changes
- Support HR Manager and Finance with pay-related changes and compensation updates
- Assist with employee communications related to benefits and compensation programs
Training, Development & Reporting
- Help coordinate and track compliance training, onboarding sessions, and team development resources
- Assist with performance management processes including documentation and review cycle support
- Monitor key HR metrics (turnover, headcount, time-to-fill)
- Assist in preparing HR reports and insights for leadership to support workforce planning and decision-making
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- 3+ year in an HR Generalist role
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance practices
- Experience working with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, people-focused environment
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to grow within the HR field
