About UG Advanced Protection
UG Advanced Protection operates a specialized Maritime Security Division supporting private vessels, luxury charters, commercial operators, humanitarian organizations, and partner security firms throughout the Caribbean. Based in Miami, Florida, the division provides vessel security, transit protection, maritime risk mitigation, and operational support across coastal, littoral, and high-threat maritime environments. The division also deploys personnel in support of humanitarian missions, disaster-response movements, and life-safety rescue operations when directed.
About the role
As an Advanced Protection Operator, you will serve as a subcontractor supporting UG Solutions in providing comprehensive security services—including mobile, static, covert, and overt protection—for a diverse range of commercial clients. This role requires the ability to integrate intelligence with operations and to execute security protocols with precision, discretion, and professionalism in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Core Responsibilities
Advance Reconnaissance & Site Assessment
- Conduct low-visibility advance work at scheduled venues (residences, offices, hotels, airports)
- Identify ingress/egress routes, choke points, and surveillance positions
- Relay findings via secure comms and provide input to protective plans
Protective Surveillance & Counter-Surveillance
- Maintain shadow or low-profile protective posture
- Execute decentralized movement, concealment protocols, and situational awareness
- Apply counter-surveillance techniques where appropriate
Mobile Security Support
- Provide discreet and secure ground transport
- Maintain situational awareness
Threat Detection & Disruption
- Identify and monitor suspicious individuals, behaviors, or vehicles
- Report to UG Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) or designated CPS team lead
- Execute passive disruption techniques as appropriate
Liaison & Emergency Coordination
- Maintain silent communications with UG HQ, UG’s GSOC, and designated local contacts
- Coordinate emergency extractions, diversionary routing, or medical support as needed
Medical Contingency Support
- Be prepared to render initial emergency care (CPR/BLS minimum)
- Coordinate with embedded medics or EMS assets under UG direction
Documentation & Debrief
- Submit concise post-mission operational summaries and after-action reviews
Required Qualifications
- Prior SOF, agency, federal law enforcement, or PSD experience
- Active state/federal security credentials, LEOSA status, or PI licensure where applicable
- Valid U.S. passport, clean background, and ability to pass vetting
- Current or recent medical certification (TCCC, EMT, TECC, or CPR/BLS)
- Familiarity with secure platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Language fluency (Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, Mandarin preferred)
- Private pilot, maritime captain, or surveillance/TSCM licensing
- Prior deployments in Latin America, Africa, Middle East, or semi-permissive regions
- Ability to deploy on short notice and remain mission-flexible

- Adhere to UG Solutions' policies, operational directives, updates, and standards
- Respond promptly to GSOC taskings and encrypted communications
- Follow pre-mission briefings, updated orders, and after-action protocols in real time
