About the role:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the accounting team and overseeing all operational accounting and financial reporting activities. This role will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of the company's day-to-day financial operations.


What you'll do:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP, AR, and payroll.
  • Oversee the month-end close process at multiple locations.
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff as the business grows.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Manage the annual audit by being the main point of contact with our auditors and preparing various audit schedules and reports.
  • Constantly look for ways to streamline and improve processes.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process.
  • Develop and implement processes that will scale as the company grows.


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in a management role preferred.
  • Very strong problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and in the details.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to develop new processes without a pre-defined roadmap.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Sage, Quickbooks, or similar).
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in construction, subcontractor-heavy, or project-based industries is a plus.
