The Role
As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting patient care and ensuring the hospital runs smoothly in a fast-paced advanced general practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Supporting surgical and dental procedures (prep and recovery)
- Handling and restraining small animals (and occasional exotic patients)
- Assisting with patient intake, history collection, and basic care
- Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining equipment and treatment areas
- Ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
- Communicating effectively with team members and clients
About You
- 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience preferred
- Ability to multitask in a high-caseload environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable handling animals safely and compassionately
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
Schedule
- Full-time
- 10-hour shifts (7:30am–6pm or 8am–6:30pm)
- Saturday availability required once we open Saturdays
