About The Role & Team


The Finance team here at Webull plays a critical role in driving our company’s success. This collaborative, hardworking, and fun team operates downstream from every product, getting deep exposure to the company’s operations and performance.

 

We’re seeking a Finance Controller to join a world-class Finance team on Wall Street. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented, self-motivated, and forward-thinking accounting professional with a strong background in broker-dealer accounting and regulatory reporting. This role will support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting functions for the U.S. Broker Dealer and other U.S. subsidiaries in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other regulatory reporting requirements. 


In This Role, You Will

  • Management of all aspects of the monthly closing process, for multiple affiliated entities, which includes but is not limited to: 
    • Daily review and approval of journal entries posted to Oracle the Company’s ERP system. 
    • Daily review and approval of bank reconciliation. 
    • Management of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, by ensuring all vendor payments are approved and paid in a timely manner as well as ensuring all outstanding receivables are collected on or before the due date. 
    • Review and approval of all reconciliations, intercompany expense allocations, month end closing entries & adjustments, and variances analysis and identification of the reasons behind material changes. 
  • Preparation of the month end Balance Sheet, P&L, Member’s Equity & Cash Flow statements. 
  • Continuous assessment of the closing process to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation, as well as implementation of necessary improvements. 
  • Preparation and analysis of financial forecasts, budgets, and other internal financial reports. 
  • Development, training and management of accounting staff with an emphasis on creating efficiencies in policies and processes, as well as facilitating an effective structure to provide continued success of the team’s personal and professional growth. 
  • Research, document and analyze new and existing accounting pronouncements to assess any impact on the firm’s reporting requirements. 
  • Development, implementation & compliance with internal controls, which include but are not limited to documentation, testing, and remediation of any identified deficiencies. 
  • Liaison with internal & external auditors, tax accountants, and regulatory examination teams. 

 

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7+ years of previous experience as an Accountant/Senior Accountant.
  • CPA License (certified public accountant). 
  • Knowledge of U.S Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting.
