FSI integrates complex systems, transforms geospatial and operational data into clear insights, and supports naval, joint, and allied missions with technical rigor and global perspective. 

 

Accelint is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer III to build intuitive, remarkable user interfaces (UIs) for our Command and Control (C2) platform. This role focuses on delivering frontend capabilities that support operational workflows, clarity, and real-time decision-making. You will help shape UI architecture, collaborate closely with backend and product teams, and ensure the frontend experience meets the reliability and usability demands of our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Design and implement frontend applications using modern web technologies
  • Translate operational and product requirements into intuitive, dependable user interfaces
  • Own frontend capability streams from design through deployment and sustainment
  • Design and implement UI state management and data flows
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate platform APIs
  • Ensure frontend performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Mentor other engineers through code reviews and frontend design discussions
  • Improve frontend development standards, tooling, and processes

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field
  • 7+ years of demonstrated development experience with:
    • Modern frontend frameworks (React, Node.js, TypeScript)
    • Delivering production UIs for complex or operational systems
    • Passion for clean, maintainable and accessible UI development
    • Mentoring or technically leading other engineers
  • Proficiency in all or some of the following areas:
    • UI development with React and modern web frameworks
    • UI state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar)
    • Type-sensitive data models
    • REST API integration and data handling
    • Unit testing frameworks for frontend applications
    • Build dependency management and tooling
    • Authentication and authorization concepts (OIDC / OAuth 2.0)


Preferred Qualifications

  • UI component libraries (Material UI, Tailwind)
  • GIS data visualization or mapping libraries
  • CesiumJS
  • GitLab CI/CD build automation

Clearance Requirements 

Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information.  Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL).  In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment. The pay range for this role is:

125,000 - 175,000 USD per year (San Diego, CA (FSI))
