Project Manager

Job Title: Project Manager sought by BlueWave Operations LLC, in Boston, MA to:

  • Create, track, and manage project schedules for various projects.
  • Understand and implement predecessors and successors within a critical path method schedule.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to adjust critical path schedule.
  • Review civil, mechanical and electrical drawings including but not limited to their use for solar and storage systems.
  • Learn to use the company construction management software.
  • Review and annotate construction drawings and documents, submittals and shop drawings.
  • Work with single axis tacker manufacturers, using their mechanical engineering knowledge review and improve the design and its applicability per project to increase yield.
  • Validate infield conditions match supplier needs and construction drawings.
  • Validate and negotiate with contractors over change events, and change orders, including scope, timeline, and costs.
  • Review and validate contractor obligations.
  • Understand technical root cause, document, and quantify work changes in an effort to determine contractual responsibility prepared.
  • Understand unit cost and time impact for all changes requiring contract change orders.
  • Review technical information, terms and conditions in an effort to reduce risk and provide opinion to management for the issuance of purchase orders, work orders and subcontract requisitions in agreement with the company policies and procedures.


Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and two (2) years of experience with solar photovoltaic project construction


Two years of experience must include:

  • Co-ordinating with project management team, engineering team, and subcontractors onsite to create estimate reports and buyout sheets for bidding solar projects using Microsoft Excel.
  • Providing different project teams across the company with technical assistance on the field using mechanical engineering and electrical engineering expertise on solar projects with DC and AC battery storage systems.
  • Creating RFI’s and Submittals with the Engineer on Record and clients.
  • Managing monthly subcontractors’ billings and tracking project progress with the financial team using trackers in Microsoft Excel.
  • Implementing company’s safety policies and assuring compliance on active construction projects using documentation.
  • Working closely with clients, utility, subcontractors, and company upper management to drive project schedules, discuss costs, and resolve roadblocks.


Worksite & Travel: Telecommuting permitted. Travel is required 25% of the time to the company’s construction sites for monitoring of electricity generation and battery energy storage projects located within the United States.


Salary: $115,000 - $126,000 per year
