What You'll Expect
The Benefits and Leave Specialist administers employee benefits and leave programs to ensure a compliant, accurate, and positive experience for team members. This role serves as the primary point of contact for benefits and leave inquiries while partnering with vendors, payroll, and HR to support organizational needs.
What You'll Do
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and related offerings
- Manage all leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and other required or company-sponsored leaves
- Serve as the primary resource for employee benefits and leave inquiries, providing clear and accurate guidance
- Lead annual open enrollment and coordinate benefit communications, system updates, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while maintaining accurate records and supporting audits
What You'll Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and related regulations
- Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
What We Require
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Ability to manage sensitive information in compliance with privacy standards
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Gaming License
- Must adhere to all privacy and regulatory standards
- Position may include occasional overtime and requires attention to detail and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification
- Experience administering benefits in multi-state or complex environments
