About Rearc

At Rearc, we're committed to empowering engineers to build awesome products and experiences. Success as a business hinges on our people's ability to think freely, challenge the status quo, and speak up about alternative problem-solving approaches. If you're an engineer driven by the desire to solve problems and make a difference, you're in the right place!

Our approach is simple — empower engineers with the best tools possible to make an impact within their industry.

We're on the lookout for engineers who thrive on ownership and freedom, possessing not just technical prowess, but also exceptional leadership skills. Our ideal candidates are hands-on-keyboard leaders who don't just talk the talk but also walk the walk, designing and building solutions that push the boundaries of cloud computing.

Founded in 2016, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where creativity flourishes, bureaucracy is non-existent, and individuals are encouraged to challenge the status quo. We're not just a company; we're a community of problem-solvers dedicated to improving the lives of fellow software engineers.

Our commitment is simple - finding the right fit for our team and cultivating a desire to make things better. If you're a cloud professional intrigued by our problem space and eager to make a difference, you've come to the right place. Join us, and let's solve problems together!

About the role

At Rearc, Project Managers play a critical role in enabling engineering teams to deliver high quality outcomes for our customers. This is not a traditional PM role focused on rigid processes or bureaucracy. Instead, it emphasizes communication, clarity, and coordination. Project Managers ensure that customer goals are clearly defined, delivery plans are transparent, and teams stay aligned throughout the lifecycle of an engagement. They partner closely with Engagement Leads, Delivery Leads, and engineers to manage scope, schedules, and risks, while always keeping customer success and Rearc’s core values at the forefront.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Engagement Leads and Delivery Leads to define project scope, goals, milestones, and success criteria.
  • Build and maintain project plans and schedules, ensuring visibility into tasks, dependencies, and progress.
  • Facilitate daily standups, retrospectives, and planning sessions to keep teams aligned and outcomes focused.
  • Track scope changes, risks, and blockers, escalating when necessary to ensure delivery success.
  • Provide clear, timely, and proactive communication to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Document key decisions, updates, and engagement notes, ensuring continuity across the project.
  • Support resource planning and onboarding of new team members to keep delivery smooth.
  • Align delivery practices with Rearc’s engineering driven approach, avoiding unnecessary overhead while ensuring discipline and predictability.
  • Help teams stay customer obsessed by continuously tying delivery back to customer outcomes.

We're looking for:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non technical audiences.
  • Proven experience managing projects in cloud, data, or software engineering environments.
  • Comfort with agile practices and lightweight frameworks, with flexibility to adapt based on customer and team needs.
  • Ability to anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and keep complex initiatives on track.
  • A collaborative, servant leader mindset that empowers engineers rather than directing them.
  • Experience working with distributed, cross functional teams across time zones.
  • Professional presence with customers, able to represent Rearc confidently in meetings and updates.
  • A bias for action, with the judgment to know when to escalate or seek alignment.
  • Familiarity with modern project management and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Notion, Jira or equivalents).

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or related field
  • 3-5 years of project management experience preferably in consulting or professional services
  • PMP or SCRUM certifications strongly preferred including:
    • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred
    • Agile or SCRUM coaching certifications a plus

Your first few weeks at Rearc will be spent in an immersive learning environment where our team will help you get up to speed. Within the first few months, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with a lot of different tools as you find your place on the team.
