Summary of Job (brief description)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Manager to join our Finance team, with a primary focus on supporting the R&D organization. This role will serve as a strategic finance business partner, providing financial insights, planning, and analysis to support decision-making and ensure alignment with corporate goals.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis in support of clinical trial planning.
  • Monitor and analyze actuals vs. budget, identifying key drivers of variance.
  • Collaborate with G&A, Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Drug Development, Regulatory, Quality and Technical Operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including accruals and expense tracking.
  • Support Budget and forecast cycles from kickoff through final approval, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities, operational plans, and leadership expectations.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to track spend and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing materials for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to support a growing organization.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A/ Accounting, preferably in biotech or life sciences.
  • Strong understanding of R&D processes, clinical trial budgeting, and cost drivers.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with SAGE Intacct and Adaptive Planning preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Salary Range: $145,000 – $165,000
